lost things

The culture here is the color of death and dying
Murder is the order of the day, and if thats not enough
It is pumped in colored images from a tube in the corner
From foreign climes, dressed and drenched in unthruths.
A man wielding a pious pen in his column in the local press
Says the world has forgotten the ten commandments.
There is a failure to recognise the sacredness of life and living things,
But here,as elsewhere in the world, culture appears
To be stone deaf to truth,love and justice
Blind to 'Tomorrow's World' that says we are in the last days,
How many times in history have we heard this.
Its the exalted wish of all Christians for a new world ruled by Christ!
Today, conversation is a lost art,beautiful things like music/art
The laughter of children no longer holds a place in man's scheme of things
Worse still,- and by far more important than ten commandments given to the Jews
Which Jesus Christ himself reduced to two!-are the heresies and
Lavish life-styles of certain money -grubbing Evangelists,
That people can be so stupid to send their money on the grounds
That God will fill their pockets with abundant wealth, nothing could
Be further from the truth. Love,mercy, compassion
Are empty words in a world where we humans move ever forward
Leaving the best of us behind, in a world, it seems, the worse
